Money Raised for CMT

Last Saturday at St Peter’s Church in Weston Favell, Northampton, Ellie and her family attended a Lent Lunch in aid of CMT research.

Each week during Lent St Peter’s hold a ‘Lent Lunch’ and they support a different charity each week. CMT was chosen to be the the recipient of the money raised for the final lunch and we are very grateful to the generous people of St Peter’s and to Revd David and Sue Kirby for organising the event. They managed to raise over £700 serving soup and bread to those who came along.   They also held a raffle and an auction and sold soup recipes.

The lunch was organised by the members of their Breakfast Club who are the young people who meet together twice a month for fellowship and teaching.   Huge thanks to Breakfast Club and to the parents who made six varieties of scrummy soup, all of which were sampled by various members of the Holland family!

Ellie was on hand with her dad to represent the CMT charity and they also signed a few copies of Nigel’s book!
